Adjusting Andys Primary Chain

Now that is interesting Hamish...wonder why the factory changed to the subsequent 'listen for the whine' procedure?
Just serves to underline the old adage - RTFM!

We are arguing semantics, and I have done that a lot in my life. To me, it takes slightly more than a very slight resistance to take the sag out of the chain especially after it has done a few Ks. To me, you feel a very slight resistance as the tensioner just touchs the chain. And that's why seeing it would help take, little pun, the wiggle room out of this. Anyway, at least this thread has a great title and will come up in a search and make this a bit clearer to new owners,

it also doesnt make note that a number of copper washers may be needed under the domed nut because when a new chain is installed it may be thread bound before the copper washer(s) are compressed
here is a pic of the primary cover that I posted in number 8

You better believe it, humour is dangerous. Jay Leno quote. It's important to clearly label batteries so some don't drink their contents. BTW please don't do that, it's not good.

Some people, a mate liked to use this silicon spray on his Dirt Bike so mud wouldn't stick, pre a ride he offered to do my bike. I said yes and before I could stop him it was all over my front disc. I said WHY, he said it was fine. We left camp and headed up a steep short hill that turned 90 degrees away from a big drop and that's when I found I had no front brake. It came off with some fuel and a rag. He is still a mate but I don't let him go near any of my bikes.
