No longer for sale: Laverda 1000 Jota, series 2

Wow! That is exactly what I think a Jota should be! Beautiful bike!

Someone has the opportunity to get the Jota of their (my?) dreams!

Just curious ...... what did you use for the front and rear hub?

Beautiful bike mine is almost identical but no fairing,I like the fairing and might consider installing one on my bike I put a fairing on my sf2 to make it look like an sfc but sold it about 7 years ago now own the jota and love it good luck with sale if it was closer to me would be interested but on other side of world and you can only ride one at a time.

First time I have seen the extra holes drilled in the cast iron brake disc like that. Do you know the weight difference?

Great looking bike. Good luck with the sale, or alternatively, I hope you come to your senses and keep your baby.

Well done on that huge description that would take me a week to write up!!!!!
I hope you change your mind and keep it and don't live with regrets later, how many times do you here, I wished I had never sold that bike!!!

Fantastic bike and clearly well looked after. I don't know the European market but the only issue in selling it should be price. It should command a premium price.

Unfortunately I think your timing is wrong. I suggest you put it away for the winter and try again in the spring when a few more people might be looking for a bike (that they may even ride occasionally).

I think the price is a bit optimitic in these days. The bike looks very fine but who will pay such amount of money for a bike which is just a bike for some enthuisasts. You have to find a customer who wants this bike for his exhibition or as a show bike for some meetings.
I sold my 1000 SFC within 3 days at a reasonable price with four digits. I did not have the idea to earn a lot a money with that bike, I wanted to sell it as a bike which has to be used on the road. I think the price was ok for me and the seller.
With these Laverdas you do not really know how much have to be invested in the nexts mounths😂

regarding price, when you see what is for sale on Carandclassic, and take an average, you will end up at approx. 18,600 Euro. Yes, it is very cheap, the Jota, otherwise try to compare with a Ducati, from the same year

Yep, I think if that bike was in Australia it would sell fairly easily at that price.
I do agree though, after my recent dabble looking to sell, being a reliable, ready to go ride didn't appear high on some buyers minds:eek:

Not for a Laverda any how.
Has been bikes.

Aye, and if you knew what the actual sold price was....!! 😭

Sadly the trend these days is for originality, and that's what commands the best prices. Personally I'd opt for usability - and it's clear cape's bike is to be ridden 😎
Originality and usability aren't contradictory.
But they are for show bikes, or bikes ridden very little.
And that's where we are. All show, very little go.

That is a great description you provided, obviously, you are an enthusiast and have really taken care of your bike. Someone is going to get a fine machine at a very fair price. Good luck with the sale.

Just as a reference here is a Jota that sold in January 2023, not mine, location, location, location

Here's a short video I shot today.
As for sales, it's going nowhere. I know that the location and thus the pickup costs may be an issue. So I guess I'll have to reduce the price yet again and this is killing me. 20% off from the original price, now 12 000€. On sale till the end of September.
It's unfortunate if you're pressed by time.
Look at the bike Peder Heise sold, was it €23 000? It took a couple of years until the right "client" came along.

Ticks over like a grandfather clock! Very impressive. Crisp throttle response too (y)

It's a bad time for selling classic bikes (and cars too) right now. Economic climate I guess. Keep it for a while and then re-advertise, unless you're really desperate to sell.
