Indicator lights alternative for the RGS

I'm looking for ideas to replace my turn signals. They don't have to be original, because those are either impossible to find or made of gold..... My current ones aren't original either, but they're falling apart.
My turn signal relay is also falling apart. What can I use as an alternative? Partly because the three connections are positive. One is 12V the other go to the turn signals and to the dashboard.

What alternatives have you installed?

I've fitted CEV units from a BMW F800 to my RGS, together with an electronic flasher unit.
Good quality, easy to fit, suit the bike - all good! 👍😊

My friend Jürgen has a tasty solution, by no means cheap and cheerful though. Bar-end for the front and tiny little things at the rear, both from Kellermann. They're seemingly invisible at first glance and give the bike a very slender appearance, but are extremely bright when lit up!IMG_1268.JPG I'm very satisfied with the Kellermannn and Moto-Gadget flasher units. They'll work with just about any load, incandescent, LED, whatever.

I’ve used a Narva 68251 flasher unit. Works well with LED lamps but with a max of 30w you have to make sure at least one lamp on each side is actually LED.

Thank you all for your ideas. I'm going to go with a14rgs's idea of BMW indicators. Their round shape fits nicely with the curves of the RGS.😄

And I'm going to look for the Narva 68251 flasher unit 👍 to see if it's available in the Netherlands.

Hi Piet. I personally find the indicators too small, but I can see more upgrades to this RGS. Brake cylinder, brake calipers (BMW?), brake discs, wheels, front mudguard (shortened?), windscreen with slots. What is the purpose of the slots?

More than meets the eye, while looking surprisingly stock to all but the initiated... ;)

The indicators are inconspicuous until they light up, they're then glaringly bright! Unless you need the indicators as a styling component, they're brilliant.

Fork, brakes and mudguard are BMW K 1100 and maybe the triple clams too, I assume. Fork is 41,7 mm!

Thanks for the tip, my 750GT has always been (and still is) indicatorless, I suppose people were probably more adjusted to that then, as they are today... it can be quite dark here, I'm especially hesitant to ride it in the dark. This looks like just what I'd like!
No, people weren't more adjusted, they just died more.

True. People seem to forget road fatalities have dropped dramatically over the past 40-odd years, mainly due to both active and passive safety measures being implemented and/or mandated. But all they do is moan about them when they're introduced. I know they've saved me from attending a couple of funerals.

Still too many dying on the roads though...

What??? Nobody uses these anymore?

True -I won't let myself join them by somthing completely preventable. Once lost a schoolmate who was on a bicycle on a dark road, his lights weren't working and a driver ran over him. No guarantee it would not have happened if he had working lights, but why take the chance...

I got some Ducati signals off eBay, $4.99 each. Cheap, and yeah, they're kind of cheap, but to my eye they look right. Looks like the vendor still has some.
