1975 3C

I really like the look of the 3Cs w that gorgeous motor, seat and rear fender- it all just looks so right. Iconic has been selling quite a few bikes from that Canadian dealer.

This was my 1974 3C; it travelled many miles through multiple countries in several different roles. Rode it to work, camping trips, sport riding (fanging it), crossed Australia 3 times, both islands of NZ, South America , West Coast of North America, Mexico, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah,Nevada, AZ. It always got me home(y)(y)

Jim's brother has a couple of his SF's kicking around on his farm here in Ontario. A '72 SF and a '74 SF2. The SF2 is, more acurately was, set up for vintage road racing with a mid '80's GSXR front end c/w wheels and brakes. The '72 looks to be pretty much all there with the exception of the exhausts.

I'll have to enquire to see if they're still available.

Off Topic...But connected to Jim Henderson. Awhile ago after he had passed his partner Mary offered up a new
Laverda (?) brand European touring style leather jacket. I immediately bought it under full disclosure so there is
no misrepresentation from the vendor. The jacket was sized as a European Size 50. I am 6'2" and 185 lbs and have
LONG purchased high end European ski clothes all about Euro Size 50...perfect. This jacket too tight therefore I am
offering it to the members who are shorter and more svelte than your narrator. Price in USD is $400 and CDN $500
plus at cost shipping. A sale to Europe or the UK,just inquire. Jim was a good guy and I hope his 3C gets sold to a
home that will enjoy it. Blue Skies Jim..

ps jacket made in Italy ,not Pakistan !

I still think my 1976 3C (Registration OWA513R) looks a fine machine.
The second photo brings back great care free memories of setting off from the UK on a tour in the summer of 1979 through France, Italy, Greece, Albania, Yugoslavia, Austria & Germany. It didn’t miss a beat the whole journey nor during all the UK miles before and after the tour. Wish I had never sold it.
The DVLC data base appears to have no record of it after 1996. Per chance does any member of this great forum have any knowledge of what happened to it?

I like the striping on the tank on the red (or maroon?) bike. It breaks up the monotony and sort of slims down the look, to my eye.
