Hi admin peeps,

At the top of the page we have;
(a) 'Show unread posts since last visit'
and
(b) 'Show new replies to my posts'

There is a hole in the above that allows you to miss posts. Could we add a 'Show all new posts'. At first sight this may appear to be the same as (a), but it is not. For example, if I just visit any forum (but look at nothing), leave, then go back into the forum 10 seconds later, the 'Show unread posts since last visit' will have reset to zero.

Another option is to "subscribe" to a post. This will send you an email when there is a reply. Only the first reply sends the email so you don't get bombarded. The SEND TOPIC tab gets this going.

The 'show unread posts since last visit' button has started working correctly for me now.

I was finding that if I 'logged on, did nothing, logged off, logged on again' the list of unread posts was empty.

No worries now, cheers, Paul H

It is not working correctly, again.

I am finding that if I 'log on ~ see a list of, say, 5 unread posts ~ do nothing ~ log off ~ log on again' the list of unread posts was empty.

Any thoughts?
 
...don't log off. When you sign in use the windows up on the top left and click the "forever" button...
