ahh the 73' 750 finally made it in my garage after a long awaited and agonizing three weeks.  Those who don't remember the bike I posted the link to a discussion in the "for sale" section below.

I gave it a good look over today and I'm quite impressed with it's condition.  I'm starting to believe the 1247 km are correct. I removed the tank and side covers and everything underneath looks untoucked.  The frame has about an inch of dirt that will clean up nicely. Motor looks like it was soaked in oil or WD40. I was hoping to see an original color behind the side covers or underneath tank but no luck. Could the orange be an original 73 color?

list of needs.

Seat cover....  Where to source?
grips
rear taillight and bracket
original Cerianis shocks..  currently has a cool looking set of Performance Works shocks
Original handlebars
usual carb cleaning
battery
fork seals
Will send out chrome plated parts to chromer this weekend.

I used IKON shocks for my SF2. I think that they work better than the Ceriani (40 years of development ought to yield something) and have adjustable rebound damping. They look nice and fit. The price was reasonable, too.

Of course, they aren't original Ceriani - my philosophy on restoration is to upgrade whenever the upgrade is reversable, such as shocks.

Need handlebars? To quote Clem from the original post:

I do like those handlebars a lot, I would happily buy them and include a standard set if available.

where to get original handlebars then, bearing in mind NOS are likely to be long since sold out.

Wolfgang has 5 different bends of handlebar available to cover most original fitments.

Cleaned her up today and she's looking good.

I see why you want to change the bars, yuk. A bit of paint and maybe a shroud over the springs would hide the shocks. They would work a lot better than even a set of refurbed Ceranis, I seem to remember they only dampen in 1 direction.I would prefer good handing over period correct as long as the mod blended in ok
