35mm SF pipes

I have a set of 35mm header pipes with the SF shape and have a balance tube.

Ends are sleeved up to 38mm at the muffler connection.

Which year SF used these (if any) ?

Or are they just some aftermarket set ?

Used on all SF.  SF1/2/3 got fatter pipes without additional sleeve and no cross-tube out front.

Seat base is steel and has 750 fittings.

I believe the tank has had the knee grip mounts removed!

I would guess the tank is from an early SF (1970/71)

Yes, the fixing metal can rust out, some have glued the rubbers to the tank instead, with some cutting off on the rubber inners.

I have a good 1973 GTF frame & motor too far past any hope of restoring.

However, I am thinking of a bitsa small valve project.

I have an S cam and SF pistons to pep it up a bit.

But I am wondering if I should disturb the GT bottom end to drop in an SF crank or else leave that as is. I kind of like the lower vibration from the heavy GT crank.
