Hi
Looks like a fair thing especially with the exchange rate @$7K Australian.

What you waiting for Derek? Cheap flights from Brissy. Hand luggage?

Cheers
Jason

There's that one and the RGS in SoCal. With the US exchange rate being on par it's attractive too. I do like the 3CL look better though. Might give him a call tomorrow.

G'day Drikko

If you're interested in buying it, here's a few observations:

Advertised as a 1976 3CL, but...
Has a post-79 frame with forward leaning shocks.
Thick web wheels also appeared in 1979.
Drilled rear disk (after 1980) and solid front disks (before 1980).
Sticker on the handlebar clamp appeared after 1978.
Un-stayed front mudguard is after 1977.

Owner doesn't give an engine or frame number, but if the engine is 1976, it's certainly a later frame. The mixture of drilled and un-drilled disks indicate that the front end is earlier than the frame.

Other oddities:
Looks like Marzocchi forks with Ceriani stickers - evidence of a confused owner?
What's that bracket on the front down-tube (just under the tank) for? Maybe the missing horns?
70's Yamaha front indicators, CEV rear.
Aftermarket shocks. Koni maybe?

Still, a nice bike if you're not too anal about originality. Good price too.
It's clearly not a spawn of satan - it has no horns  :D

Cheers,
Cam

I think this bike was for sale with a Jota about 8 months ago. It shows up as being imported from Ozzy in Feb 2000 - engine 1000-5563 frame DGM125710M????

Well she ain't there no longer.    Has she headed off to Aus???
Useful to know that if he got that price then mine is probably worth more than I thought.
Probably double what I originally paid for it
      Shorty NZ

Back up again.

Seems as if the seller changed his mind and withdrew the listing.  Then checked the bank balance and here it is again with apparently info from a previous owner
