I feel stupid having to ask, but please can someone tell me where the neutral switch is located on the 500 engine. A photo of its location would be fantastic....

On the right hand side of the engine, behind the sprocket cover, underneath the clutch activator shaft (if you know what I mean).

Ciao, Hans

thanks Hans. I've already looked behind the cover a number of times, but I saw nothing. I guess it must be hiding behing the clutch shaft thingy. There is certainly no wire visible, which may explain why the neutral light doesnt work....

it looks like there is a bolt where the neutral switch should be. Why would anyone do that???

If your Transmission Neutral SX is working, I highly suggest you ground your Starter Solenoid through it.

Such that you can only start your Breganzie in Neutral - It will save your Starter Clutch.

thanks but i dont think there is a neutral switch fitted, but just a bolt. Perhaps the original was faulty and the owner didnt want to buy another??

No wonder at the 30-odd quid asked for replacements!
