Well my ebay purchase arrived today.
In the photos it looked like a small valve head with GT cams and cam sprocket.
The description just stated that it was an early 70s head and that the seats were good. However, the photos seemed to show pocketed seats, but what the hell at 80 pounds I would take the punt on the good looking GT cams and sprocket with free head.
Opening the box and the unmarked cams have an inlet lobe height of about 8.5mm (no vernier around) with a profile like a photo of some SF2 cams on this site.
The head is a big valve with the valve seats standing proud rather than being recessed ... yummy .
The inlet ports are 35mm and have inlet adapters with a 63mm stud spacing.
63mm seems a bit odd for a Dellorto/metric setup.
Would this be 2 1/2" for the dreaded Amal ?
Kind of stuffs up my sedentary GT application but overall its an interesting lump of metal.
Cheers,
Rob
