Hi, please excuse me if this is a novice question, but did the SF or SF2 come with clip ons as a factory option, or are they all after market fitted? Thanks

are you getting confused Garethmax, between clip ons and adjustable handle bars.
Clip ons have "sleeves" which clamp direct to the fork legs
adjustable handlebars have 5 bolted pieces which can be changed around a fair bit but are fixed to a clamp on the top yolk (original ones are marked Brevettato).
No non SFC Laverda had either type from new.
and helicopter jim means (I think) that US market  SFC's of 74 vintage came with adjustable handlebars and not clip ons, but a lot of them got the clip ons at a later date, two batches of 50????? where the hell are they all then???

That was indeed the score of the millenium Rob. I?v still got the photos you sent me of it when you picked it up. When things get really dark I get them out to cheer myself up.

Howdy Lee, As it lives in my living area along with the Motodd I see it on a daily basis and after all these years it still brings a smile.
Has got to be one of the best looking bikes out of Italy. I look at it as a piece of artwork!
May get club rego this year and start riding it again. Will need new tyres and and ignition system. The points are past their useby date though still work. Also may look into a Mal Cox baffled 2/1 megaphone, I must be getting old!

No chance Pat, it has?t got any riding modes, gyro controlled in-corner antispin, DSG gearbox etc etc etc. They?d never even get it in gear with that brake pedal.
