750SF3 Seat

G'day
Does a 1975 to 1981 era 1000 3c  hump seat fit a 750sf3 frame?? or would I have to start cutting and adding extensively ?

Well I know an SF3 seat wont fit a triple, because I bought one by mistake.
It was the hinge positions which were different if I remember correctly so it follows that the triple seat hinges will be in the wrong place for the SF3.

Someone like Piet will know. But wouldn't it have the same part number if it were interchangeable? have a squiz on Andy W's website.

The mounts are different but I think the base maybe the same.

Back hinge and locking pin will fit on a triple frame, front hinge is to far forward to line up.
Long bolt will work as a makeshift solution for the front hinge. IMHO the seat pan is tad shorter than the triple version, but a lot comfier.

and.................. if you look closely at the frame of most SF3's, well at least the ones stamped SF2 !  you can see where luigi ground off the seat spades and welded on the hinges, then touched up the four areas with a rattle can, a ten year old could do it better.
