A really basic Mikuni RS tuning question

Tuning some RS Miks and I don't remember...whats the base fuel screw setting? 1.5 or 3.5 turns out?

Idle fuel mix is set by turning the pilot screw 1/2 turn out

Pretty sure my Mikunis were 1 1/2 turns, been off the road for nearly 2 years now so not 100% sure

My reply is quoted direct from the Mikuni RS 36 installation manual that Red sent with the carbs

I believe the 1 1/2 turns relates to dellortos. don't personally know the Mikuni's set up but i'd trust Davo if that is what the manual states.

Mine are set at 1/2 out

reckon it depends on ya Pilot Jet size ?
Mikuni instruction says,  "standard setting 1/8 to 1/2 turn out maximum"
i.e.  if it's getting out to 1 turn or more, think about the next size pilot jet.

Exactly Mark, the screw can be a help in determining if the pilot jet is correct. Thanks all for the help!!
