Algebriac Formula for Calculating Compression

I like your never give up attitude Greg !!

Thanks for that Maurice. Appreciated. I'm putting the Zanes aside for a little while. It is not an easy project, but it should be. Just an old 500/650/750 twin that needs fixing.

I've gone back to working on a 3CL refurb at the moment, something simple and easy.

But, the reason I'm off the Zanes is cos I've had to dig myself a deeper hole, based on researching more from a theoretical perspective, which is going to take time for feedback/results to come in.

Including silly little activities like finite analysis and computer simulation of the oem rods to determine if when they elongate under load if they are actually pulling in on the sides of the pins and trapping the rollers.

Plus a few other angles...like pin taper, pin out of round, web alignment when cranks are pressed & therefore pin parallelism out sinc with the crank centreline, interference fits associated with pressing and the subsequent deformation of the machined roller area, badly machined cases with main bearing seats that don't line up, to list just a few.....

Like I said, thanks for your comment and support. It's not easy.

Regards, Greg
