Axle weights - Jota 180

I had to get this information for my suspension guy to size up springs for my Monty race bike

I didn't know anyone with industrial scales so was struggling

Then I had a brainwave, take the bike to your local bike MOT tester, the brake tester has to measure the weight and you can roll from front to rear axles and get real weights

Hope this helps

Oh. Front/rear weight bias eh?

Fuck me! I thought you were referring to the actual weight of the axles! My first thought was why the hell would you need to know that, and if you do, just pull the suckers out and put them on the kitchen scales.
But when you said your suspension guy wanted to know, I was thinking, blimey, he is really going into fine tuning detail if the weight of the axles comes into his calculations!

Duh  :-[

Why cannot you use the bathroom scales trick, pack up the other wheel level and weigh one wheel at a time?

Yes I was talking about the weight at the axles to get the bias, also to spec rear shocks for my Jota

All of these suggestions would be grand, thanks

I ask because I am away from home until the end of the month and was hoping someone might have had figures for a stock bike noted down somewhere.

I found an old thread on here that seemed to suggest there was a rear wheel bias on 3CLs, so I just went with that.
