Looking for info on the minimum wear limit for 280 mm brake discs on a sf2 there's nothing stamped on the discs like on my RGS which is 5.8 mm so is it the same for the sf2.
Malcolm Cox is selling replica solid & drilled discs in cast iron. It is also possible to buy stainless replica discs (France Equipment via Stein Dinse this end of the world) but think they are drilled type only
Something to consider is that the stainless discs from France/Stein Dinse start off at 5.91mm brand new and the minimum thickness is 5mm.
I suspect the heat distribution is better for stainless, so can be thinner than CI. Less chance of warping.
So, if bolting stainless disc to original carrier the numbers on disc only will be correct.
