Brembo brake caliper logo's.

Only just noticed that the embossed logo on the brake calipers of my 750 and Jota
are different. The 750 is 5 years older than the Jota. I've searched google but cant find
anything regarding the 750 calipers logo, or why it is different. The 750 master cylinder
has the Brembo aluminium cap and reservoir has the same logo., Jota is plastic. Is it just an age thing?

Well I don't know about an age thing, but as an older bloke, I've know about the logo differences for over 40 years !

You may find that the caliper halves are punched (inside the castings, not on the outward facing surfaces) with the year they were manufactured as well. Don't be surprised if the are not of the same year tho.
Also, don't be surprised if the Brembo equipment logo is the older type on a later model bike.
The earlier Brembo items have the logo as shown in your 750 photos - so our SF2 and 3 and t, 76 and 77 3CL's The later items have the logo shown in your JOTA photo.
Pretty much mirrors the change of cap graphics and shape that happened some time in the 70's when the front brake master cylinder cap design changed.

Basically the early ‘halo’ logo was used during the one and half year of production, 1973-1974. Then in 1975 they switched to the more modern logo.

My 750 was assembled in late 1973. That explains it then. Uses the same repair kit as the newer model. So just a logo change by the sound of it. Rivet counters wet dream.🤣
Thanks.

When I said "or is it an age thing", I meant the calipers being 5 years difference, not our age thing.🙂 When I overhauled them a few years back I think there was stamping on the inside mating surface but thought nothing of it. Will take a closer look next time they are apart.
Thanks.

Yep, one is worth a small fortune, the Ducati investors will pay astronomical prices for the oh so correct BREMBO logo and the same for the metal caps correct logo master cylinder caps. I'm hanging onto mine as part of my 'Retirement Plan', NOT ! Not a fan of the 'investment motorcycles'.

I had no idea they were so sought after. Nice to know I have have them though, but not for sale. Bike just wouldn't look right with single bleed reproduction calipers and plastic reservoir and cap, all in the quest for a few dollars..

Mine, purchased new in '76, came with an OEM 'Halo' master cylinder.
It's still on the bike, and I have a spare.
