Hi All,
Could someone please help me to identify what calipers i have here. They are all Brembo, One has twin bleed nipples with threaded holes, one has twin nipples with no thread and one has single bleed nipple with smooth holes. They all came off Jenny. Thank you in advance.

The three stages of Brembo calipers on triples.
Threaded holes are for Cerianis, rare and much sought after.
Next the one with twin bleed nipples and smooth holes was for early Marzocchi forks, and the single nipple caliper was for later Marzo forks.
You have more chance of getting twin or single bleed nipple calipers with smooth holes than the other one. I would punt it on fleabay and try to use the money to get some decent single or twin nipple calipers.
Depends what your aim is with the rebuild.
Period correct, or interpretation?

rear caliper has a smooth bore for all models  :D

there is also a date code visible when the caliper is split
calipers are Destro and Sinistro with caliper positioned in front of forks
the D or S will be opposite the pad from the date code in the caliper half

cheers,
scott

Hi all,
just to clear things up as i've had a few interested parties ask about the threaded caliper. IT'S NOT!!!!
My f**k up. In the poor lighting of one end of my garage it looked like one had threaded holes. On closer inspection in the better lit end of my garage it turns out that the threads are just cuts in the alloy from the mounting bolts. Sorry for any hopes got up. So what are they, P????.
                          Cheers.

Mark, so you have standard Brembo calipers for a Marzocchi forked triple there.
One of them is a later type though, with single bleed nipple.
I think internally the gubbins will all be the same.
I would stick the single nip one on the rear wheel, who would notice?

Thanks Grant.
Could you tell me what the model no is, I'm not keeping them they are going on ebay. Have sourced most of a diffrent breaking system. Just need to find some four pot for the front. Cheers. Mark

To reaffirm what Grant said they should be the standard Brembo PO8 calipers. The parts for them are readily available from most any Brembo vendor and the prices aren't too bad,Bevelheaven over here lists a kit with pistons, pins, seals, bleeders, and covers for about $120.I'm in the middle of overhauling the ones on my 3CL at the moment. If stuck the pistons can be a giant PIA to remove,I've had to drill and tap the piston to run a bolt in and jack the piston out of the bore on two of mine. Be very, very careful removing the bleeders on the twin bleed calipers as they twist off very easily.Rust penetrent, heat, and holding your tongue in the right position while loosening might allow you to remove them without twisting them off.

just split the claipers and then boil them in a pan of water on the cooker (wife away), for about 20 minutes, then you can easilly remove the pistons useing leather gloves and (usually) a pry bar, or a jet of compressed air poked in through an orifice, with the others blocked up.
