Well... it does say XF650RR on the side cover.

Hubs, fork and swingarm look like DR items, frame looks a bit unusual.

And you’re right Piet, a big clue on the side panel. The frame is the original frame, but hacked about.
The owner didn’t particularly like the look of the standard bike, and the front mudguard is due to be changed to something more in keeping with the new look, but he also wanted something that was more suitable for riding on our ever increasingly pot holed roads. Otherwise he seems quite pleased with the results so far.
