If its an argie (don't know about other models), stick it on the side-stand and check the centre-stand adjusment bolts, maybe one's come loose.

move the bike close to a wall sidewards. Put a cable strap around the front brake-lever and the handlebar and pull it tight so bike doesn't move. gentle lean the bike against the wall, maybe protect the tank before with some sort of padding material. Bike should stand still now and you can check/repair it.

Be prepared to find either a bolt that has come off or is worn out or the seat of the mounting bolt is worn. Else the stand is either bent or broken. for the worn seat, you can put in some spacers. Make sure the holes are round and large enough to take the spacer.

good luck!! ;)

YUP lost a bolt and nearly the second,  trouble with a rebuild just can t get round to checking every nut  think I ll need some loctite in future.

Thanks Terry,Lothar

A paddock stand is a good investementy for the well equiped man!

I'm not big enough to need one, and since John Holmes has gone I don't know of anyone else who would require one either  :D

Just a bolt? Count yourself lucky...asked keith to have a quick look at my c/stand which was banging on the collector, causing cracks  etc, and it turned out I had the wrong downpipes and collector...a bit of a pricey fix!
Nick7

well nick7 came into my wporkshop a few months ago and TOG was siting on the hydraulic workramp, with the engine removed,on its centre stand, he then remarqued that it was broken, and I poo pood him, thinking it was just mark in the paint, but later when he had gone, I looked more closely and one of the feet was detatched from the cross bar, the weld having broken around the periphery (HAZ) but had I not been alertated to it by nick, the motor would have gone straight back in making repairs more difficult.

so thanks to the beady eyed legal (bald headed) eagle. othwise known to all as Diesel Davies or double d for short as in big girls blouse.

How Ironic, just been out for the first blast on my 120 Jota since aquiring it, no previous problems with the centre stand, got back after about 100 miles, bike rode beutifully and what a sound, popped bike on centre stand and all was not right, on checking found that the adjusting bolts had dissappeared. Must be catching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I do have 3 x 180 bikes and 2 x spare 180 engines as well as the Corsa so I feel my nuts are well looked after... :P :D :D :D
