Choke cable

Hi,
Which way do you route the choke cable round the steering head area
On a laverda 1000 (180) year 1982.

The choke lever is left hand down tube! There can't be any more questions??

          Thanks Russ.

And even more pedantic, where is the choke lever located? :D

Should be under the clutch lever perch, but who knows...

Believe it is same as the RGS with choke lever on the bottom of the  left handlebar.. It runs down the left side by the steering lock, then under the main top frame tube by the electrical connectors, between/above the two smaller frame tubes. The splitter ends up near the small loop bracket on the bottom side of the main top tube. I dont put it through that loop bracket, but beside it. Ensure the right cable does not fowl the throttle cable, and none of the cables fowl the throttle linkage at the top of the carbs.

The splitter is supposed to be fitted into the loop. :D  I actually use the RH choke cable to hold the throttle cable out of the way of the moving throttle linkage.  This can foul the throttle cable at full lift.

As an additional precaution, I tie the 3 shorter choke cables together at the splitter, this prevents one of them inadvertantly slipping out of its seat when moving stuff around under the tank.  One will slip out easily, but not all three of 'em...

So it's in the tidier, more logical position as the earlier Triples came supplied, tucked up under the tank on the left. Just make sure it has a smooth run with no kinks and a little bit of play in the cables when off, forget the little loop to hold the splitter as well, one of Luigi's not very clever additions, considering these are cables that will take their own narural position in use. Oh! and if you are a rivet counter that wants originality, I can sell you the little bracket that holds the lever on the left hand bar, it aint ever going to see use on mine again.  :D
