Clutch master cylinder

I intend fitting a set of 4 pot Brembos from a 916 to one of my bikes. I understand that I need a master cylinder with 16mm piston so I was going to purchase the corresponding Ducati 916/Brembo mc. I may fit a 120 motor so would want a to fit a 916 clutch mc. Has anybody used a 916 clutch mc, will it work? Is there anything else I need to take into consideration? I would appreciate your thoughts.

Cheers Scrumpy

I fitted a used Duc 749 m/cyl on the clutch of my (then) RGA Jota Sprint, lightened it up nicely, my 'Fiddler Crab' left arm reduced to the normal size shortly after.

My old Sprint that Alan bought is still with him so check out the m/cyl while you're there Scrump.

Hey Scrumpy,
Do you remember all the road tests of the 916?  The biggest problem they had was " dead '' feel on the front brakes and a lack of power in them as well. Mostly blamed on the stainless rotors.
Turns out it was m/c to caliper ratio..
Seems if you use later 996/998/999 m/c all is good.
Another alternative is later ( 01- ) RSV Aprilia stuff. Exactly the same but not stigmatised by being off a Ducati and therefore substantially cheaper..
Hope this helps..

Ciao,  Ross.

Ross,
I was not aware of that, so thanks for the heads up. I will go for one of the alternatives that you suggest.

Cheers Scrumpy
