clutch rod length

I think 119, or maybe 112. Its been discussed a few times over the years. I tried making one from Silver Steel,it lasted about 20 minutes. Lose 1 or 2 mm and its useless. Needs to be case hardened I think that Canfield bloke put up a dimension a few years back.

Now what you need is someone who owns a few early triples and get them to pull one out and measure the length of it... now I know someone who owns lets see a couple of drummers not to mention a black and also a red 3C ...hmmm plus some others but for the life of me cant remember who that is.
Dont worry will measure one up whilst am trying to remember who I am thinking off..

So I reckon its around 4 and 21/32 of an inch if I am measuring correctly,  or if you make that into decimals something like 4.84 inches, as Vince always tells me that inches aren't accurate enough ?? ...  so guess in the metric world that makes it something like 123 mm, or meters or centrimeters or what ever the caliper says 123 when in metric.
