Coils

Hi All,
        Could anyone tell me the primary resistance of the coils on a mirage. Trying to purchase some coils from dyna but need this info first. Thanks.

Stock ND coils used on the triples are around 3-3.5 Ohms.  Also suitable for DMC systems.

coils for point ignition: usually 4-5 ohms
coils for electronic ignition: preferably 3 ohms

But a considerable number of us just go to the breakers and get some old Japanese TEK coils. They're reliable, compact, plentiful and cheap.

And most of them have around 3 Ohms primary resistance....

Stay away form coils fitted to bikes that revved in excess of 13-14000, these are more likely to have a far lower primary resistance.
