Diode

The rear light on my SF2 decided to be intermitent and then definitely out. Brake light ok.
Tested with multimeter, no feed until the junction box.

The electric diagram shows a diode in the system whose function would be to not feed the rear light when ignition in the park position and keys out.

I very much suspect that this diode has died.

Where the hell is it physicaly located on the machine?

See Piet's posting (reply#9) at http://www.laverdaforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,86836.msg235356.html#msg235356
Function is rather to prevent bike from being started with keys out.
Diode in a black capsule is inserted in a cable. I'll try to make a photo
tomorrow.

Didn't find it on my friend's bike, maybe it's omitted.
It's in the partslist: http://laverdamania.net/images/Partslist_180_1.pdf

Thanks Ernesto.
Since I've got the tank off, I'll try and source it following wire 15 from the junction box.

BTW, any sources for a new SF2 harness. My over 40 years old wires are beggining to let go?

That's because you asked the fucking question.  ???
I bought one for my 750 off him recently.

I always ask questions to which I already have an answer in case someone has a different answer.
