Dismantling throttle side switchgear

I?m trying to dismantle the right hand side handlebar switchgear to refurbish. It?s from an early 1200 but suspect that it?s the same for all triples.  So, please is anyone able to advise how you remove the start button assembly. I have removed all the retaining strips/screws but the button location in its hole (I?m not sure that sounds very nice) seems to stop the switch assembly from being extracted.  So what?s the trick?

Using a fine point probe pull back the copper spring that the button slides in and out on. This should allow you to pull up the board that the wires are attached to and then the spring and button fall on the floor, never to be found again...
