Drilling Stainless

Recumbentastic!

Nice Job Bob.

Very funny Dick, as I recall you live in the heartland of UK recumbent territory.... :D :D

Just so this isn't completely off topic for a motorbike forum it's often surprised me over the years that at least four of my customers [to my knowledge] have been ex-Laverda owners , mind you, not one of them has owned a 120! I've sold a fair few to motorcyclists of all persuasions, usually Bee Em owners . One of the design staff from Triumph [Hinckley] also has one.
We also hold the record for the fastest lap of the TT course by human power, beating Chris Boardman's old record by 4 minutes. I think Cameron Donald has beaten us by almost an hour and a half although he did have an extra few horsepower.

Dick,I sell very few into the UK, my main market has historically been the USA although the bike in the pic was delivered a few days ago to a customer on the south coast of England. The next trike out of the workshop is going to Oz and the one after that to Colorado.

I'm in the middle of building just such a device for myself, I'll let you know how I get on with maiden flight...! There's a knack to it....

Well, I was drilling some stainless steel last night with the TV on (no thread hijacking here!), and although I was concentrating on drilling steel I couldn't help noticing that what was on the tube was a new production of "South Pacific", with a couple of Americans in the lead roles and Jack Thompson playing a Yank navy officer. But what made me think was the planes they were using, a few were restored WWII originals but a Grumman seaplane turned out (when it crashed) to be a model! Just wondering if it was by the same bloke, looked bloody great until the crash scene, which left a bit to be desired.
