Engine case blasting.

Jackhammered
Hang on to that 1975 1000SFC it must be a very early prototype ;)

Actually I have a 1974 1000SFC because it had a typo on the import paperwork and the Transport officer told me it must be correct when I tried to tell them it was wrong.
It was not worth the argument.

Back on topic the Hydra blasting I have seen in Reds shed looks the business.

I've recently had my first set of cases aqua-blasted. Honda CBR600 FWIW. I've had many cases and assorted engine parts bead blasted over yea these many years but I'd have to say the water based setup delivers the best finish I've yet seen.
It was quite reasonable cost - a guy on a lifestyle block waaaay out of town - and a quick turnaround too. I had of course thoroughly degreased them before dropping them off.

The big difference bead/aqua would seem to be that the abrasive material in the aqua is a very much finer bead. These cases had been hosed out and left to air dry. What was still in there is a very fine dust which an air line followed by a good soapy wash will remove easily.

I liked what I got - and will go back happily.
