Fitting tacho cable

I've fitted reprofiled 4C based cams and a 180 cam cover to my SFC1000 so cam drive now on left of rear cam.
I expected the square drive cable to fit into a square drive but all I can see when I look down is a slot.
Looking at spares list on Laverda Paradies they list the following as drive for ND tacho.
Is this the part I am missing?

Never had the tacho fixed up since rebuild as I was waiting for a longer cable to come...now it has and I cant fix it!
I assume the part shown above just drops down into the slot?

Also has anyone an SFC 1000 tacho cable to hand.  If so what length is it from end exterior cable to other end?  I ordered 5" longer to suit my oddball configuration  but still seems short to me so would just like to be sure its just me not ordering long enough.

And don't forget the circlip thingy...

This is often omitted, causing the cable union to remain loose in most cases.  The circlip is wedged between the alloy cable end and the drive housing, allowing the tongued adapter to spin within the circlip.

No cable clearance issues with the drive from the inlet and tank underside?

Thanks guys I will order the bit!
Re routing I,ve rotated the speedo drive and there seems 'just' enough but will need to get it hooked up to check clearance under tank  and also whether radius are too tight and it tears itself to pieces!will post some photos when done.

Anybody got the standard cable length?

Ralph

If you're struggling for room under the tank, you can buy right angle adaptors for speedo (or tacho) cables, which may be of use. Just google "speedo cable right angle" and heaps will come up.
