Fuel Valves for RGS

I just replaced my original leaking fuel petcocks on the SFC and understand they do not come in left and right, anymore.  Consequently, the off position is one direction on the right (facing forward) and the opposite direction on the left (facing rearward).  Now, this wouldn't be an issue if the one on the right turned off rearward (i.e., right-y rear-y), but I am certain I will mix this up some day  :-[ and leave the things in the wrong positions (i. e. on reserve, which is the opposite of off) and meet with the dreaded hydraulic lock and blow my motor to Mars.  :'(

Anybody got a source for petcocks that will fit the SFC fuel tank that maybe has the off to the left or the right, reserve facing up, and on facing down?

Or, do I chalk this up to the idiosyncratic nature of Laverdas?  If so, ok.  Just asking. :)

This was the case for a while - The "BAP" taps are now available in R/H & L/H - but have a slightly different handle to each other! - Mind you if you can see both at the same time you shouldn't be riding a motorcycle! - regards - Phil

Visit a Brit bike shop. The Triumph 750 made in the 1980's all have the same fuel taps as a Laverda. And for some reason the Brit bike shops usually charge much less than a Laverda shop

I like the Brit bike idea.  That way the Gold Star will feel at least a little bit more at ease next to the Italiano.

Phil, is that an XBR500 front wheel peaking out of the corner? Can't imagine you having an MBX125 which is the only other thing I can think of that had that style of wheel with a single disc
