If you want a grease gun buy a Wanner, finest grease guns made by man. Normally plenty on ebay

Cheers Keith..I'll take a look at that brand.

Tired of taking my bike to friends to have the greasing done. There's a tendency to postpone it and that's not good policy !

cheers

My experience is that if you won't buy the cheapest one it will mostly work fine. The most issue with grease guns is the nipples and the coupler part that fits them of the gun. Different manufacturers make them a littlebit different that makes a very big difference how well they really work. The coupler could be changed if it won't work. I have some of them of different brands. Most problems have been that the coupler may be very hard to fit or to take out from the nipple. And sometimes the nipple won't want to open for grease. These are solved with the coupler that fits very well the certain nipples used.

The best solution is to buy new nipples that fits very well to the coupler and works also very well when you press the grease. Then use only these.

My solution to grease SFC 1000 swing arm is that I have a gun with flexible lead, the brand is Mato. I have changed a new nipple to the swing arms that fits the coupler very well. The nipple has a 135 degree angle that points to the left and rear and has a plastic cap for cover. The cap is a part to be bought separetely. Every time I grease the swing arm I first loose the axle nuts to pass old grease out. Then the nipple cap should be snapped out and the gun could be easily fitted from left side of the rear wheel.

Thank you..great information
..Ill think about those angled nipples..: )

I bought a Wanner one like Keith recommended so lets see how I get on...

Thanks again.
