HELP LAVERDA 750 FORMULA S 2000

I've had my 750S 11 years. I run it on Rock Guardian semi synthetic and change it for every trackday. They are a little lumpy at low revs, but then it's a twin so you'd expect a few vibes.

Get an oil filter bypass kit and change the oil every 1,000 miles if yours is a road bike.

Champion U305 filters are readily available from ebay.

Yours, saving for an OCT crank rebuild (just in case  :D)

welcome to the forum Craig remember to give as good as you get especially to Piet hes a secret Zane admirer you,ll find . They,re a good crowd on this forum very helpful and know-legable plus the banter is supreme as I always say Welcome to the darkside Chris

Unfortunately, the open Termignoni are not allowed in Germany, so the sound is very, errr - mild....  :-[ but riding and handling is just a dream, nothing else!

My silver/orange 750 had the OPEN Termignoni exhaust and that beast was LOUD!
That bike bellowed the kind of rumble that would make the pretty girls drop their knickers from a mile away.  :)

I have Blue flames on the Zane that I don?t think are that loud, (at least when it is running that is, although the boys in work would not agree, but then they thought the Mirage was noisy wearing Jota pipes, silly boys!) and once had an A65 with Goldie?s on, (that sounded nice!) that got the attention of Plod in a two bit Mid Wales town, who then spent ten minutes enquiring of me, ?Where?s  your waffles boy?? whilst trying to poke his truncheon up the pipe to prove there weren?t any! (Which there most certainly were not, baffles in a Goldie, Heaven forbid?)

Sounds like a euphemism to me. You sure you weren't forced to do things you didn't want to do, in order to avoid a ticket Spider? Sounds very 'Deliverance' to me. "Squeal laak a pig boi" ;)

There used to be a Cafe on the LLangadog end of town I think that was the West End Cafe. I used to go in there in the mid/late seventies, when you walked in and they realised you weren't, "local" they wouldn't talk english and made it pointedly clear that they were discussing the, "Saes" that had just walked in, (but as a "Kaarrddiiff Boy" I have got used to this in Welsh Wales). This is the complete opposite too the RFC, where a welcome was always to be had! I watched Wales stuff Scotland in 76 in there with a lot of noise and Double Dragon! My negative experiences
certainly didn't put me off Llandovery at all though, it is still a great starting place to explore real Wales, get up there you who can, the roads are excellent as well as the scenery.  :D

i'm sure they wouldn't be able to do that today - my dad bought a little w/e cottage between corwen and bala in 1960 and back then everyone spoke welsh all the time. i went there about 7 years ago and no-one spoke welsh except the neighbour's uncle and he answered him in english - they don't seem to value their language very much!

saes = saxon

Although I am not fluent (I can get by in Welsh but was brought up speaking English)there are plenty of people still speaking Welsh and both my children both attend Welsh schools. I would never change to speak Welsh if some one who could not speak it was present but I do think that people should be able to speak their native tongue especially in their own country. I would love to see the Welsh language preserved and encouraged, Cymru Am Byth! :-)

Well I am certainly not fluent Tym, but I get by at a push if needed!. (we are still of two minds as to wether to send Toby to Welsh School or not, Jury is out at present)
Thread Hi-Jacked I think!
Zane rebuild time soon, then Mid Wales roads here we come. :D
