Hi Temp silicone

Any opinions on the use of hi temp silicone to seal the exhaust around the collector?

  Works fine, even normal bath sealant, obviously won't fill gaping holes.

I AGREE.... However 3C Boiler mastic really works a treat.... It is the stuff Gas Safe engineers use ...Stick two blobs on your wifes ankles and you will never go without sex again !

I guess I guess I should have been more specific; Who actually uses it and is there a need to use it. I have never used it and was wondering if it is worth it. Does it make much of a difference?
