Homologation numbers.

Is it the case that for different markets that the Homologation numbers are different? For example the Swiss market bikes would be of a different specification to a UK or US bike and would need a different Homogolation number?

I ask this, as one of my 3CLs has a Homologation number 12571 OM, and the other has 10867 SC.

Anybody know anything about this?

I believe the 12571 number was used on all bikes after a certain date possibly 1976-77?? the other number 10867 is a much earlier frame most likely early 1974 possibly a 1700-1800 3C ?? or earlier

Just did a search using the words Homologation numbers - note no typo! - and it threw up umpteen threads on the subject.  No idea which one you are after.

As previously mentioned, use the Search facility in the Home Gallery Help Search Profile My Messages Members Logout menu, NOT the Search bar top right which produces less comprehensive results
