Laverda 500 Loom

Just a quick one, I've just been out to start connecting up the Loom on my 500. It's a bit of a mess but pretty much all there. Can I just ask though, the loom looks about a foot too long and is folded back and stuffed under the tank. Is that usual?

The loom is essentially identical to a 180 BTZ triple loom.
Maybe you have a triple one, which from memory I think is a bit longer.
I fitted a triple loom to a 500 once, recall having to shorten some wires in the sidepanel area.
Both bikes are effectively 180 twins, as the triple has 1 and 3 sparking as one.

hi, you probably have a 1000 loom as my mk2 monty loom fits nice and snug

The one on my Mk1 is folded over and attached to the downtube between the carbs.
On the Alpino the ignition boxes were behind the side panel, I just assumed the re-site left some extra bits left over.
