Laverda Ghost 650 Strike

Just aquired one of the above bikes (1997 or 1998 model) with only 1200km on the clock. However, I fitted a new battery but the ignition light does not extinguish after the bike starts. The right-hand red light (oil pressure) does go out, but the left-hand red one remains on. Any ideas what the issue can be? Where can I get hold of a wiring diagram for this bike?

It sounds as thought the regulator/recitfier is kapput - have a look at my post on the subject as I have recently had the same problem with my triple. 1st thing to check it the voltage to the battery - should be 13.0 to 13.5v ish with the engine running. Then check all the connections before you spalsh out on a new RR.
