Do any of our UK friends know anything about the following bike?

I think it was once owned by Chris Myers - South coast UK. Sold it about 3-4 years ago(?)

Hi All

Laverda Harris.......... :-*

Don't know the actual bike but I can tell you that it looks like a pretty unmolested example of a Harris full cradle set up with all the expected and correct for the era bits an bobs that would go with it with the exception of the exhaust. Harris will confirm that they only made about 20 of these.

There may well be a full or three quarters fairing that goes with it.

Let me know if you buy it and we can trade tales as I have one too and know the owners of a few others. There we go a sub group of Laverda Forum...... Can we have our own room ?................ :D

                                   Cheers

maybe that is the correct exhaust?

Harris also made 3:1 exhausts for the standard triple.
I had one on my '79 Jota.
Piece of crap performance-wise.
Ended up with 165 mains and a sawn off end cap from a Jota silencer tacked on.
It did not look anything like the one in your picture though Lothar.

Not sure if their 3: for the Harris frame was different or not, but again I don't recall the exhaust on my mate's Harris Laverda looking like that either.
Looks way too modern to my eye.
Then again the collector is 3 in a row flat, and mine was 3 in a triangle at the collector.

Hey Lothar

The exhaust on ebay does not look like a typical period Harris to me and even more unlikely to be original fit to a Harris Magnum...........

Suspect collector shape as Grant says should be triangular''
Suspect can/silencer shape
Suspect letter font style used for Harris
Suspect down pipes, not usual Harris shape.

I could well be wrong though as has been known before..........

                            Cheers
                                    Matt

The owner is called Graham Martin when I told him about BoM he provided these photographs to use. He can be contacred via gd-martin@hotmail.com. I bought a bike via this website and it was still advertised a month after the sale so dont hold your breath.
