49,000km
Non-standard silencers
Stripes missing off the grab handles under the seat
Needs repainting

What does that make my 4,000km one worth? Not for sale by the way!

Must try that one "Only bid if you can afford" cocky Aussie :D :D

Shaun

no dents though only revealed hey Grant when bought Lizzy shrewd girl. :D :D

Shaun

I just love the earlier dummy bid history the most, its like the prospect of a flashing 19k is going to make 24K 'the very good barginnn'

The most I've seen one of these pull in Aus is 10K - the guys 'dreamin'

Jotaman,
I like the list of machines in your signature - you seem to have one of everything to piss off the 180 /120 / Zane crowds...  :D .  I am more intrigued by what you "can't mention on a Laverda forum" . Do tell more....

Ally

:)

Howdy Ally,
In the interests of decorum and a path of full disclosure I shall start with:
1980 Ct70
1971 CB100
1980 Z650
1978 V50 Mk1 (Race Bike)
1971 Moto Guzzi Ambassador
1984 Ducati 600SL Pantah
2003 Aprilia Tuono Racing
2003 Aprilia Haga
2008 Moto Guzzi Griso

And for the record, I love all the lav's, but even i know the 120's are 'Totally Gay' :)

Says he with a griso!! Sheesh, if 120's are allegedly gay then a griso is like Elton John, Graham Norton and George Michael all rolled into one, and about the same weight.....

I believe this RGS Corsa was earlier sold from the previous owner in Sydney or NSW possible even earlier this year and the selling price was about $9900 I don't know where this $20K plus desire is born from?

It's probably born from a desire to match similar asking prices for sub standard MHR Ducati's, as they are regularly exchanging hands for +$20K. If you wanted to compare similar vintage machines then a Corsa is a much better machine than a Ducati MHR, is rarer and cost significantly more when new, so using that logic it's about right on the money.

Personally i would love to see it sell for a decent price, there is such a huge gap in real values between certain makes and really it's driven by supply and demand, basically Ducati kept the dream alive and the passion for the earlier bikes is driven by the continuing commitment by Ducati at the top level of motor racing. Laverda is only known about by a much smaller and aging population base, hence the demand is not as strong and the prices stay subdued.

If you want silly prices look no further than some as the common as muck 2 stroke Jappo bikes from the 60s and 70s.

I had a thought to find and restore a Kawasaki 250 Samuri as I had fond memories of one that I had owned in my youth. First one that popped up on the net in Oz was selling for $24,000.00. Yep, that is right and I have not slipped and added too many zeros. Even in crap condition the cheapest I found over a 3 month search was a couple of thou. Then I looked at the Z1 900s...

seeing that there's a guy wo asks 1 million usd for a set of 2 MHR duccies with zero mileage, this is a bargain!
