Hello all, has anyone got the full story regarding the use of Boyer ignition on the Monty twin engine
I stuck to the advice for my race engine, that is to use the boyer type as it is rugged and simple, hopefully will be reliable
I bought the two components from Phil, the rotor backing plate and adaptor, I am looking at which other components I need
I asked about which Boyer kit to look at, the advice being the one used on British twins (Boyer Ref Kit53) this system is for positive earth systems according to the data sheet, the monty uses a negative earth system
1) Can anyone tell me the specific Boyer items or kit to look at (I have asked them already and still waiting for an answer)
2) Does anyone have a circuit diagram, Boyer or hand drawn
3) Any other advice is very welcome
Thanks Dave Fitz'
