Montjuic spline dimensions

Does anyone know what the spline sizes and pattern are on a Montjuic gear selector shaft

I want to trial an alternative gear lever design after fumbling around at a recent race meeting, I struggled getting at the lever position I wanted every time, not the sort of thing yo need when you are concentrating on braking and line

Measured mine the other day - twas 12mm 1/2 inch roughly... thought a vfr750 shift would fit - but haven't tried it yet! Good luck - when and where are you next racing - would be good to see...

With an outer diameter of 12mm it will be most probably a serration spline 10 x 12 according to DIN 5481, searching the internet for it should bring up the dimensions in detail. Common for most of the continental european manufacturers. Don't know about the Japanese, but the DIN splines are easily distinguished by their flank angle of 60?, compared to 90? common on some SAE and BS standard ones.

Stefan
