Just a quick thank you to everyone that has responded to my requests for help and information, Phil, Austen, Rob, Robin the lads in Oz and many others
Good news lads, the engine is finished and back in the chassis
I started on the electrics, got my bodywork to the paint man and started the final build last night, it looks tremendous and my engine is quite heavily tuned, we got the compression ratio seriously high without the need for special fuels (after some advice)

I am just off to buy some diamond files now to ease to the splines on my engine sprocket a little, one of the lads had a great idea of changing the sprockets and chain to a 520 item, you would not believe the weight difference between the original chain and sprockets and a lightweight alloy unit and modern chain, I need to save weight with me being "big boned"
Now should i take my wife on holiday this year or invest in a nice new set of carbs ??
