music in the shed


From Shirley Manson to ......... Loads of people have covered his stuff ( Beach Boys , Lemonheads , Guns N` Roses , plus hundreds of others ) ..... Nice voice , and a very laid back attitude to guitar playing ( in the background ) ........
 
In my High Street there is a little club, 'The Pink Toothbrush' (formerly 'Crocs'), been there for 40 years mostly with the same staff and owner, it is truly an alternative night club that unashamedly plays good music regardless of fashion or genre.it is now quite famous in the UK but 40 years ago these young lads from Basildon (5 miles away) cut their teeth playing their first live gigs and became a sort of 'house band'... look at them now, this video alone has had 198 million views, it makes me quite proud :)
 
Play list here often, Angel Olsen ( Mirrors one of many skilled performances ), Sharon Van Etten ( Come Back Kid and more ), Charlotte Gainsbourg.. the synth stuff, Amiee Osbourne.. not super great, however a notable talent in her own right. Not Forgetting "First Aid Kit" sister harmonies from Sweden j
 

Nobody knows for sure , but some reckon the purpose of Sheelas was to put the locals OFF the thoughts of having sex as they filed into church... ( ... not there and then obviously , just generally ...... ) .......... Apart from the wicked and lustful in the eyes of The Lord sort of thing ........ ( and you daren`t upset Him , had you ? ) , extra kids means more of a burden on the local parish , doesn`t it ? ........

Rather flying in the face of all that , here`s more Hole ....... Courtney uses the guitar more as a prop than an instrument ...... ( Eric and Melissa have that side of things covered ) , so as a consequence it`s either dis-connected , or turned right down , rather like Linda Mc Cartney`s vocals in Wings .......

( They say that just for fun , sound engineers would play Linda`s vocal track on it`s own , and end up rolling about on the floor in tears of laughter , before burying it ( losing it ) deep in the mix again ........

......" Paul , I`m sure I did some vocals on this track " ......... " You did dear , you did ... " ....... ) ....

Poly plays drums as well, though footage is rare, its quite illuminating the very early footage of PJ and the image changes she invoked, gal photographer able to capture it all over the years.... someone you would ( me ) very much like to meet before i die... mind you i have the pleasure of working with top shelf strange women these last 13 years or me.... would not have them any other way...j
