Normal thickness ranges from 2.20 -2.22mm. The hardening of the buckets is quite thin, I've seen a few re-ground ones fail. I don't remove more than 0.03-0.04mm to clean them up, if more is required they land in the bin...

Brand new ones customer obtained from Wolfgang, they are a different design no lump underneath. Pretty sure not ground down.
