Why did you need a conversion? You can still buy them

I know Keith Nairn been helpful with sprockets in the past, by the way why no
mention of him on the forum

Keith won't touch those Zane thingys with a barge pole... and I don't blame him!

Can't imagine GSXR400 rears to fit, reckon the smallest available would be in the 44-46T range.  Lav has 42 iIrc.

Sprockets available off the shelf at OCT.

Renthal Part number 250 U520 40 was discontinued in 2012.

B&C Express now manufacture under licence to Renthal. They have 250-520-43HA (43 tooth) on the shelf. 43 tooth is probably not a bad alternative as when I dropped my Zanes from 16 to 15 they were a lot more usable at Australian Crawl (100klm/h). They look pretty (nice gold colour) and are 60grams lighter than the OEM.

it's not widely known, but Greg's got a mountain of Zane spares. http://www.thedam.com.au/The_DAM/DAM_Laverda_Parts.html

Probably about 2500kg of bits for the bloody things, but I am not selling for a while.

BUT I AM BUYING if you have Zane parts collecting dust.

On top of that, I'll try and help with support, but there are a lot of lads that are better than me.

Regards, Greg

shipping from Oz though to Lancashire isn" t really an option.

Well I have just had some gear from Greg shipped to Lancashire! Despite fall in pound prices are still good and delivery took 11 days. Couple of the bits were made by Greg himself and its all quality kit.
