New fork seal failure.

A pair of front forks that I had re-chromed and assembled with new fork seals both leaked when stored on their side. The fork tube OD is correct and the forks never got into the bike to be used. The oil volume was correct. Who has struck fork seals leaking from new and is there a particular brand liable to do this?

FWIW, I get mine from a local bearing/seal supplier. It's an industry standard size. I fitted new seals to go with the re-chromed stanchions 2 years ago and they are still good. Stuart
