A good friend and bike aficionada suggested I remove my oil cooler.  :o

Its currently held on with cable ties and looks a mess. Ive not investigated it fully but it seemed like a novel idea and I said I would follow up.

Has anyone done this?

Cheers
ED.

Reckon you should mount it properly... was fitted to the bike for a reason!

But if you're located in Siberia, Alaska or Antartica, you might do quite well without. :D

The Oil-Cooler reduces oil-temperature by roughly 15 - 20 % on a normal day. My bike rarely goes above 80?C, only on race-tracks like SPA it goes up to 100?C. Without the oil-cooler, that would look much worse...

as Piet said: mount it properly, there is no benefit in removing it if you are in an area of the world that sees +20?C or more regularly when you ride your bike

Definatly mount it right, use the rubber bungs that are standard. They look like half a muffler mount.I steer clear of traffic normaly but once in a while, just like the resent Rocker Run from Tempi you get cought and without the cooler it would be ugly. Also take care if you need to touch the spigits for the oil lines out of the case, they brake easy.I would be doing something about that belt primary sooner rather than later.Do a seach on here about problems others have had.Red has most of the bits you need.

Eddie,
I should have all the bits you need, send me a personal message when you are ready.
Give me a list of parts you want and I'll let you know what we have in stock
Send photo's as well if possible, makes it easy to work out what is missing
