Short ride up and thru the Santa Rosa Mountains today did about 140 km total came back home and stopped and parked the Jota at a local Mexican watering hole Armandos. After a cool frosty Dos Equis, 'Stay thirsty my friends' I came out to find the the Jota was doing its best impersonation of a Norton with oil dripping from the right side frame rail into an oil pool the size of your palm, bitch.
I only live a quarter mile from Armandos so when I got home and took a look it appears the oil is coming from the right side forward of the sprocket cover. WTF.
Further investigation having recently replaced the starter clutch I looked inside the generator/ignition cover..nice and clean. Check the starter with a good physical pull and fuck me the bastard is loose, guess I only did the bolts up finger tight when I put it back in so torqued em down good and will take it for a test run in the morrow. I am hoping this is the likely source of the leak, ... what say the experts, Cheers Dave.
