Hi

I thought I would tidy up the rear of my (Silver) RGS, the wheels are grey colour but the cush drive/sprocket carrier is black, is this normal or should it be the same as the wheels, also can it be coated without removing the bearings or is that really stupid? I have tried looking at loads of pics but sprocket carriers seem to feature rarely...

Found the same colour combo on my silver RGS. Maybe the factory anticipated the muck off the chain would soon cover the silver of the cush drive!  :D  Anyway, opted to coat mine in silver. You really do need to remove bearings... will probably reveal the horror of loose fit and need for Loctite.

No.  Heat is involved which will melt the grease in the bearing and fuck up the paint.
