The Ramair round pod filters I was advised to and fitted have just enough clearance. I`ve never had a problem with the throttle mechanism. Could be because the frame came with some hefty rubber tank mounts that raise the tank just clear. The previous owner must have had the same problem.
I don`t like the sound of re welding the tank. Hoping the rubber engine mounts and a 120 motor will take care of any vibration induced fractures. That said, I used Ford colours so any welds can be touched up using rattle cans.
At runing-in speeds, it`s seems to be one of the smoothest triples I`ve ever ridden. That could all change as the revs rise. However, I come from a 180 background with only a few forays into RGS territory.
Cheers,
Neil
