Reassembling the RGS1000SFC

Hi,
I'm finally getting back to reassembling my bike and need your advice, as usual.

Do you guys recommend using a gasket sealer on the gasket between the block and the barrels?  If so, which one?  If not, why not?

What about elsewhere on the motor?

hi scott, would only use wellseal on the crankcase's as there's no gasket anyway, every where else I just use a touch of  grease . if you use a sealer on the barrels or head you may have problems getting them apart in the future. also don't use cheap pattern gaskets because they may well be the wrong thickness. I am also doing a rebuild on a sfc 1000 which I brought from good old scrumpy

Got barrels on this morning with lots of help from Red.  Thanks, mate.  I'll post some pics if I can figure out how.  Head goes on next.

BTW, any help/advice on how best to reassemble this beast is appreciated.  It's been over a year since I took her apart, and my memory isn't what it used to be....I don't think.

Don't drink too much while you have a spanner in your hand.  That's my advice.
